Klimacamp | Direkte Aktionen gegen Klimachaos

Wie letztes Jahr in Hamburg soll es dieses Jahr wieder ein Klimacamp geben. Und zwar im Rhein-Main Gebiet vom Montag den 17.08. bis zum Sonntag den 23.08. Direkte Aktionen, klimaneutrales Leben, und der inhaltliche Austausch über die Klimaproblematik sollen die 3 Säulen des Camps bilden. Das Camp soll horizontal und selbstorganisiert ablaufen. Unterstützung wird noch in vielen Bereichen gebraucht. Das nächste Vortreffen findet statt am Freitag den 26.06.

Das Klimacamp das dieses Jahr in Kelsterbach stattfinden wird, wird vom Montag den 17.08 bis zum Sonntag den 23.08 stattfinden. Aktionen und Veranstaltungen werden vermehrt am letzten Wochenende stattfinden. Das Camp soll lokale Klimazerstörende Projekte thematisieren und angreifen: Flughafen und Müllverbrennungsanlage, Kohlekraftwerk Staudinger in Haunau, Autobahnneubauten in Hessen, Atomkraftwerk Biblis das eine Laufzeitverlängerung will. Des weiteren soll ein Schwerpunkt auf diesem Camp die Verbindung von Tierhaltung und Klimawandel sein.

When? 17.08. - 23.08.

This year, a climate camp will take place in the Rhein-Main region from Monday, 17th august, till Sunday, 23th August. Most actions and events will take place on the last weekend.

The camp will target local climate destructive projects: the airport, a waste incinerating plant, the new coal fired plants Staudinger/Hanau and Mainz/Wiesbaden, new highways, the nuclear plant Biblis. Another focus will be the connection between animal keeping and climate change.

Nachdem es lange so aussah als ob es diesen Sommer kein Klimacamp in Deutschland geben würde, hat sich nun eine Gruppe gefunden, die eines auf die Beine stellen will. Und zwar in Kelsterbach, wo es über ein dreiviertel Jahr eine Waldbesetzung gegen den Flughafenausbau gab. Wir freuen uns über Zustrom in unsere Vorbereitungsgruppe. Das erste Planungstreffen wird am 21. und 22. April in Rüsselsheim, im Freiwerk, in der Hügelstraße 11 stattfinden. Am 21. fangen wir gegen 16:00 Uhr an.

* The camp will be open for everyone from the 11 - 19th of July.
* It’ll be very welcoming of international pressence. Everything will be translated and internationalized. We consider us a part of the mobilization towards the COP15 climate summit protest.
